In an effort to foster spiritual ambience in Bhadrachalam, the abode of Lord Sitaramachandra Swamy, the gram panchayat officials initiated a wall painting project in the temple town ahead of Srirama Navami festival slated for April 15.

As part of the project, artists embarked on painting impressive images depicting various important episodes from the epic Ramayana on empty spaces across the temple town.

The move was initiated to provide aesthetic look to the compound walls of the public places and enrich spiritual ambience in the historic temple town widely acclaimed as Bhadradri.

Meanwhile, Ugadi festival was celebrated with traditional pomp and gaiety at the historic shrine in Bhadrachalam on Friday.

Abishekam, Darbar Seva, Panchanga Sravanam, and other special pujas and religious rituals marked the occasion.
