The State police department faced the disapproval of the victims’ association for not removing tainted ASI Mohan Reddy from service after he served 300 days in jail and faced suspension for 600 days, following the registration of over 60 criminal cases against him in erstwhile Karimnagar district.

In a press note here on Monday, the victims’ association president Musku Mahender Reddy flayed the police department for not invoking PD Act against the tainted ASI Mohan Reddy, who was involved in illegal financial business, using police power in the State.

Reminding that the Mohan Reddy was arrested in illegal activities causing death by suicide of several of his victims in 2016, he reprimanded the CID for not filing the charge-sheet so far.

Mr. Mahender Reddy alleged that the police authorities were protecting the tainted cop by not invoking PD Act and not removing him from service, thereby encouraging his illegal financial businesses.
