The victims of tainted cop ASI Mohan Reddy have dared him to face an open debate to prove his sincerity that he had no links with Nayeem, who was killed in an encounter recently.
Talking to newsmen here on Sunday, victims’ association president Musuku Mahender Reddy asked as to why Mohan Reddy was absconding from the district when he had not committed any crime and had no links with Nayeem.
He alleged that the tainted cop Mohan Reddy had colluded with Nayeem and resorted to land settlements, snatching away of farmers’ lands and illegal financial business at gun point. In spite of registration of 42 cases and CID inquiry, Mohan Reddy was continuing the illegal registration of lands and settlement in Karimnagar district, he charged.
Lok Satta leader K. Narayana flayed the elected representatives for not responding to the burning issue when several hundreds of victims were on the roads appealing for justice and requesting protection from the harassment of Mohan Reddy.
Dalit leader M. Sudarshan said that they would approach the National Human Rights Commission as several dalits were also harassed by the tainted cop in the district. Communist Party of India leader P. Raju and others were also present.
