Mild tension prevailed in Manthani mandal headquarters in Karimnagar on Monday after some unidentified persons desecrated the statue of veteran freedom fighter and former Zilla Parishad chairman Panakanti Kishan Rao, on Sunday night. DCC official spokesperson Sashibushan Kache and others staged protests over the desecration of the statue. Congress leaders alleged that the ruling TRS leaders had committed the act.
