Two members of CPI (Maoist) Charla Local Organising Squad (LOS) surrendered before Bhadrachalam Assistant Superintendent of Police Sunil Dutt in the mandal headquarters town of Charla on Monday evening.
The police identified the surrendered duo as Irpa Laxman Rao alias Bharath, 28, of Pusuguppa, and S Murali, 35, of Vuyyalamadugu of Charla mandal.
Laxman worked as a courier for Maoists from 2008 to 2013 before being appointed as a dalam member the same year, police sources said. Murali surrendered following the death of his wife due to ill health recently.
