Two die of sunstroke in Adilabad

Two persons died due to sunstroke in Adilabad District on Monday while the death of a third person owing to the heat wave could not be cofirmed even as a maximum of 44.3 degree Celsius was recorded. Karithe Anand, a 45-year-old labourer from Malini in Tanur mandal and Jenne Durgaiah, 47, of Motlaguda in Dahegaon mandal succumbed to dehydration early in the day.

According to the police the former had been collecting firewood the previous day and fell ill after reaching home in the evening. Similarly, Durgaiah, who had collected beedi leaves in hot sun returned home only to fall sick on Sunday.
