Two die as building collapses in Chilakalguda

A chicken shop owner and another person were buried alive when the old building accommodating the shop caved in, in Chilakalguda police station area late on Monday night.

Police and locals were removing the debris to find whether others got trapped inside. The victims were identified as Akbar and Javed. While Akbar died on the spot, Javed succumbed to his injuries soon after he was shifted to hospital.

Second incident

This was the second incident of old building collapse in the city in the past one week. Last week, a shop owner died when his shop collapsed in Secunderabad.
