The Telangana State Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TSIIC) and a Malaysian entity entered into an agreement on Thursday to collaborate for supporting promotion and facilitation of research in the field of life sciences, biotechnology, healthcare and medical devices.
An MoU between TSIIC and Central Spectrum (M) Sdn Bhd, which is the master developer of Selangor Bio Bay mixed development project in Malaysia, was signed at the inaugural function of BioAsia-2018, in the presence of Industries and IT Minister K.T. Rama Rao.
Under the agreement, the two sides would jointly market and promote the Telangana and Selangor Bio Bay as possible hubs in the region for companies and investors in the field of life sciences, medical devices, healthcare and biotechnology, especially in the areas of pre-clinical and clinical research, pharmaceutical regulations, device development, manufacturing practices, commercialisation and other areas of mutual interest.
They would share information on profiles and technologies of companies and research institutes and assist each other to network and connect with them. Supporting and facilitating each other in matchmaking with potential companies and research institutes in the identified fields figure in the agreement. They intend to undertake collaborative projects or programmes.
