Telangana will soon have surplus power and there is no need to secure it from the Krishnapatnam power plant, said TS Genco chairman and managing director D. Prabhakar Rao.
By March 2016, the State will become self-sufficient. We will bring more power to the State by setting up new power plants and pooling power from the Central share, he said.
According to him, the State will get 3,000 MW of power in addition to the existing current production and thus Telangana will have more than enough power at its disposal to cater to all types of consumers.
The Transmission Corporation of Telangana Limited (Transco) will supply power to farmers for irrigation purpose during the morning hours. There will not be any more power cuts.
Mr. Prabhakar Rao was in Warangal to inaugurate the newly constructed building of Telangana Power Diploma Engineers association at Vidyutnagar in Hanamkonda.
Mr. Rao wanted the agitating outsourcing employees to withdraw their stir as he said the management was ready to sort out their grievances.
The chairman has asked the diploma engineers association leaders to take the initiative and hold talks with outsourcing employees who were seeking regularisation of services and payment of salaries directly from the NPDCL instead of making payments through the agency that hired the workers. The CMD wanted the association leaders, the employees and the workers to make coordinated efforts to run the company in an efficient manner to serve the State better.
Mr. Prabhakar Rao was felicitated by the association leaders.
We want agitating outsourced employees to withdraw their stir. The management will redress their grievances
