The Telangana Government is planning to bring in changes in the Employment Generation and Marketing Mission (EGMM) to give opportunity of skill development and training among the unemployed youth, only to agencies which have good track record and not those which have come up for EGMM purpose itself.

At a meeting on EGMM, Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development K.T. Rama Rao stated here on Tuesday that the agencies chosen from skill development among the youth should make them employment-ready with the skilled required by the industry. He asked the officials to create a website on the lines of naukri.com with the database of unemployed youth available with EGMM and give access to the companies which have employment opportunities.

The Minister stated that companies such as Google, Microsoft Cyient were ready to cooperate with EGMM in its mission to make the unemployed youth employable. He also suggested the officials to set up a separate EGMM for Telangana as the agency was in the Tenth Schedule of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act.
