Warangal Range DIG B. Malla Reddy and SP A.K. Jha called on Telangana North Zone IG V. Naveen Chand at the police guest house here on Friday. The IG was on his way from Karimnagar to Hyderabad on an official visit. Additional SP S. Anil Kumar and others officials also called on the IG.
Meanwhile, the district police authorities issued orders prohibiting demonstrations and rallies in urban area of the district. Mr. Jha in a statement said Section 30 of the Police Act would be in force till December 18 and those willing to organise public meetings, dharna and processions should obtain prior permission from the police. Those violating the orders would be punished, he said.
