BJP leaders took strong exception to the way the State government is functioning under the leadership of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao.

BJP MLA K. Laxman, general secretary G. Premender Reddy and district president A. Ashok Reddy said the government lacks a sense of responsibility and governance in the State. It is least bothered to maintain cordial relations with the Central government.

“Unlike in other States, the Telangana government did not bother to implement Swachh Bharat and Jan Dhan Yojana launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. None of the TRS Ministers bothered to call on Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh when he visited Hyderabad recently,” Mr. Laxman said.

Unless the government maintains good rapport with the Central government, development of the State is not possible. Though the BJP as a responsible party is trying its best to bring in more funds, it is for the State government to follow it up through proper channel, he said.

Referring to the ongoing proceedings of the Assembly, the BJP MLA expressed his unhappiness over the government’s decisions. There were no proper answers to scores of questions posed by the Opposition parties -- be it pensions, survey, farmers suicides and so on. “The BJP will not tolerate if the government removes genuine beneficiaries from the list of pensions, housing and other welfare

programmes,” Mr. Laxman said.
