April 27, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:48 am IST - WARANGAL:

The TRS district unit has arranged for 1,500 RTC and private buses and 1,200 other vehicles to transport one lakh party workers and

sympathisers to the party public meeting to be held at Hyderabad on Monday.

Party district president T Ravinder Rao, urban wing president N Narender and MLA D Vinay Bhaskar appealed to people to turn up in large numbers as vehicles would be at the disposal of local leaders in villages and mandal headquarters. Food packets, water sachets and party flags would be made available in all vehicles. The vehicles from Warangal would be parked at Mettuguda, Keys High School and surroundings. The party workers should walk about two kilometres to reach the Parade Grounds the venue of public meeting. They urged the cadre to reach Hyderabad by 2 p.m. and reach the venue on time to avoid traffic snarls and delay. The meeting would start at 4 p.m. sharp, they said.

MLA Vinay Bhaskar said from the days when the Opposition leaders doubted the formation of separate Telangana to celebrating the victory of TRS, the party left a trail blazing performance in public service. “We are here to accept constructive criticism and not irresponsible comments by TDP, Congress and other parties,” he said. The TRS which assumed power for the first time in the new Telangana State has got down to work and was slowly delivering all its promises. The Mission Kakatiya, Water Grid and other welfare schemes were aimed at larger public good. People would witness the benefits of Mission Kakatiya shortly in July when the rains fill all the restored tanks and irrigates the fields. The scheme helps several communities dependent on village tanks from fishermen to washermen, he said.
