Time KCR focused on people’s issues: Errabelli

December 29, 2014 02:56 am | Updated 02:56 am IST - WARANGAL:

TDP MLA Errabelli Dayakar Rao sought to know from the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao what difference the TRS government made to the people of Telangana. Not even a single election promise was fulfilled by the TRS and the Chief Minister keeps on hoodwinking people by making tall promises even after coming to power seven months ago. “Mr. Chandrasekhar Rao is hopping on helicopter talking about buildings, lakes and ring roads instead of focusing on people’s problems. Pensions have been curtailed, scholarships stalled, the SC/ST and BC corporations became defunct, farmers are in distress,” Mr Dayakar Rao said.

When the TDP was in power Warangal district got SRSP waters to Mahabubabad, Dornakal, Thorrur, Kuravi and other tail-end areas. This year, there is no water. Even during crisis , the TDP ensured seven hours of power supply and now the TRS government is not able to supply even for three hours. The TDP has asked for a support price of Rs 500 per quintal to maize and cotton farmers from the State government, but there was no answer or action. “Each cotton farmers incurred a loss of one lakh as the cotton procurement price has come down from Rs. 5,500 per quintal to Rs 3,500. Despite repeated requests, there is no action from the government,” Mr Dayakar Rao pointed out. In Telangana nearly 700 farmers committed suicides and in Warangal district 92 farmers died due to distressed conditions. The Chief Minister and his government failed miserably. The TDP wants the Chief Minister to focus on these issues and take necessary action at least now, he said.
