Tenant farmer ends life

Distraught over mounting debt burden, a tenant farmer allegedly ended his life at Chennepalli village in Kamepalli mandal on Friday.

The deceased was identified as K Satish, 30, a cotton grower of Chennepalli.

Satish allegedly committed suicide by hanging himself from a tree abutting a cotton field in the afternoon. Sources said that Satish had reportedly landed in financial troubles following consecutive cotton crop failures. He reportedly resorted to the drastic step unable to cope with the rising debt burden. He is survived by wife and two children.
