Transport check-posts have been set up at Panchalingala on the Telangana-Andhra border on NH-44 and Sundipenta near Srisailam.
Deputy Transport Commissioner Sivaramprasad formally inaugurated the check-post at Panchalingala while the check-post at Sundipenta started functioning the same day.
Mr. Sivaramprasad said both States declared a kind of moratorium on the movement of vehicles till March 31 next year. A team of three Assistant Motor Inspectors was posted to each check-post to monitor it round the clock. The posts would issue permits for inter-State vehicles.
