Telangana appoints officers to supervise development

The State government has initiated the process of implementing its "bottom up" approach of planning for development by appointing special officers who were all IAS officers to supervise the planning at village, mandal and district levels in Telangana. 

The officers will visit the districts assigned to them from July 12 to 28 to attend important meetings as part of the planning process, a government order said. 

The officers and their districts are : Labour Commissioner A. Ashok - Adilabad, Civil Supplies Commissioner C. Parthasarathi - Karimnagar, Tribal Welfare Director Rahul Bojja - Warangal, Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority Commissioner Neerabh Kumar Prasad - Khammam, Civil Supplies Corporation Managing Director V. Anil Kumar - Nalgonda, School Education Commissioner M. Jagadeeshwar - Mahbubnagar, Principal Revenue Secretary B.R. Meena - Ranga Reddy, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation Commissioner Somesh Kumar - Hyderabad, State Housing Corporation Managing Director B. Venkatesham - Medak and Director of Municipal Administration B. Janardhan Reddy - Nizamabad.
