Teenage girls hang themselves

September 22, 2014 01:15 am | Updated 01:15 am IST - HYDERABAD:

Two teenage girls committed suicide by hanging themselves at their house in Rahmathnagar at Jubilee Hills on Sunday, the police said.

Bhavani (17), who was pursuing a beautician course, and Shruthi (13), an eighth standard student of a private school, were cousins and stayed at the house along with their relatives.

“The girls locked the door from inside and hanged themselves to the ceiling using a scarf”, Jubilee Hills SI Veerabhadra Rao said.

A suicide note reportedly written by them that was found in the room stated that no one was responsible for their death.

The police are trying to ascertain the reasons behind the incident.
