The district leaders of BJP and TDP pledged to work together for the victory of NDA candidate in the forthcoming Warangal Parliament byelection here on Monday.
BJP district president A Ashok Reddy, urban president Ch. Sunil, and TDP district president Gandra Satyanarayana Rao, and urban president Anisetti Murali, said a candidate would be selected jointly by the top leaderships of both the parties.
The BJP leaders claimed that the Central government has allocated huge funds for the development of Telangana, particularly to Warangal district – the four lane highway, Hriday and Amrit city projects, among others.
“If the NDA candidate wins, we will get more funds and more development to Warangal district,” Mr. Ashok Reddy said.
He wanted people to take this byelection as a chance to check anti-people policies of ruling TRS party in the State and ensure the victory of BJP-TDP combine.
TDP president Satyanarayana Rao said that during the Telangana agitation, K. Chandrasekhar Rao provoked and utilised the energies of government employees, and as a Chief Minister, he rebuked the municipal employees when they sought their demands to be addressed. No leader ever insulted the government employees in the past, he alleged.
The employees of municipalities, gram panchayats, medical department were all on the roads when they realised the false promises of Mr. Rao, he charged.
“The TRS and its leadership promised heaven on earth. After assuming power, the same leaders are ridiculing protests. Neither the Chief Minister or his Cabinet Ministers have the time to console the families of farmers who died,” the TDP leaders alleged.
