Leading anchor Suma is now the holder of a record in television programming. As the presenter for Star Mahila on ETV, she appeared for a total of 2,045 shows so far. Suma has been hosting the popular show from Monday to Saturday since its inception in 2008 for which, she found a place in the Limca Book of Records as the anchor for most number of episodes.
New offerings
from Maa TV
For serial lovers, this summer has some cool offerings from Maa TV. This week saw the channel launching two new serials that occupy the 9.30 p.m. to 10.30 p.m. slot from Monday to Friday.
Directed by Rasool, Srinivasa Kalyanam describes the disintegration of the joint family system in a light-hearted manner. It focuses on the protagonist’s yearning for an extended family.
The serial has a cast that includes Yashvanth, Deepthi, Anvika, Bhavana and Inturi Vasu.
Seethakokachiluka has Kapuganti Raghu directing a talented group including Chandra Laxman, Sai Mithra and Sri Bhanu among others. Kommanapalli Ganapathi Rao’s screenplay narrates the tale of an ideal husband who goes about seeking more attention from his wife, but ends up getting attracted to another woman.
