The three Left student unions – SFI, AISF and PDSU are all set to hit the campaign trail to garner support for the Left-backed candidate for the Legislative Council election from Nalgonda-Khammam-Warangal Graduates constituency S Prabhakar Reddy.

The three student unions will spearhead a joint campaign to muster support for Mr Reddy, who is backed by ten Left parties including the CPI (M), the CPI and the CPI (ML-New Democracy) for the Council election. Talking to mediapersons here on Tuesday, the SFI district secretary Balaraju, the PDSU State general secretary Ashok and the AISF State general secretary Sivaramakrishna and others said the activists of the three student unions will canvass for the Left-backed candidate in the entire Graduates constituency.

Seminars

Apart from visiting educational institutions, we will also conduct seminars and meetings involving noted academicians and other distinguished personalities as part of the electioneering, they said, adding that they will make concerted efforts to reach out to the electorate with a thrust on young graduates. We will impress upon the voters to cast their ballot in favour of the Left-backed candidate to enable him represent the voice of graduates particularly unemployed youths in the Legislative Council, they asserted.
