Minister for Irrigation T. Harish Rao said that villagers should be united and become part of development.

Participating in various programmes at Ibrahimupur in Siddipet mandal on Saturday, Mr. Rao said that development was possible with united participation of villagers and construction of rainwater harvesting pits and toilets is an indication to that direction. Informing that Rs. 2.5 lakh would be sanctioned for the village under Bhu Samrakshna scheme, he said that people from different sections can purchase the required implements and commence the work.

Mr. Rao also promised to sanction 14 houses for the homeless people in the village. He visited Banjarupally village and promised to meet them again in one week and address their problems.

Later in the evening, while participating in a programme at Siddipet, Mr. Rao said that the town would be developed as a green city and all efforts would be made in that direction. He said that people should plant and grow medicinal saplings and an awareness programme on growing saplings would also be taken up in the town.
