“State indifferent to sanitation workers’ demands”

Leaders of various political parties found fault with the repressive measures being resorted to by the government towards the striking municipal workers instead of solving their demands.

Expressing the solidarity with the workers at their dharna camp near the municipal corporation office here on Friday, they said the strike entered 22nd day following the indifferent attitude of the government. Congress district president Taher Bin Hamdan, former president Gadugu Gangadhar, TDP district president Arkala Narsa Reddy, CPI(M) district secretary Dandi Venkati, CPI (ML-New Democracy) leader V. Prabhakar, IFTU State president V. Krishna and CPI leaders were present.
