Sravana masam festivities begin

The month-long Sravana masam celebrations began on a religious note at Sri Raja Rajeshwara Swamy devasthanam in Vemulawada of Rajanna-Sircilla district from Monday onwards.

On the occasion of auspicious day, the devotees thronged the temple shrine in large numbers and offered prayers to the presiding deities by forming serpentine queues. The pilgrims competed to participate in special pujas of abhishekhams and tying of an ox as part of ‘kode mokku’ ritual.

The TRS rank and file had also arrived in large numbers to the temple shrine to offer special prayers on the occasion of birthday celebrations of Minister for IT and Municipal Administration K Taraka Rama Rao. Prominent among those who visited the temple include, Miss Asia and Telangana tourism ambassador Rashmi Thakur and others.

Similarly, the devotees thronged Sri Kaleshwara Muktheeshwara Swamy devasthanam in Kaleshwaram.
