Sports school to be developed into a training institution

The Tribal Welfare Residential Sports School at Kinnerasani in Palvancha mandal will be developed into a model sports training institution by upgrading the sports infrastructure facilities at an estimated outlay of Rs. 80 lakh, said D. Divya, Joint Collector, Khammam.

Ms. Divya, who is also the Project Officer of Integrated Tribal Development Agency, Bhadrachalam, was speaking at a meeting after inaugurating a month-long archery coaching camp in Bhadrachalam town on Sunday.

The divisional-level free coaching camp is being organised by the District Archery Association for children and youth, according to the organisers of the event.

Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Divya said a more spacious playground will be allotted to the sports school for practicing archery.
