Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao announced that Narayankhed would be formed as divisional headquarters shortly. He said that efforts were on to get special package for the constituency as it was most backward.
Official orders
Participating in a review meeting held at Naranayakhed constituency headquarters on Saturday along with Collector D Ronald Rose and MLA M Bhupal Reddy, the Minister said that the Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao had already accepted in principle for this proposal and official orders would be issued shortly.
Mr. Harish Rao has also informed that Rs. 10 crore was sanctioned for lifting the height of power supply lines in the district.
The Minister also said that one English medium residential school for each mandal with an intake capacity of 600 was sanctioned for all the five mandals in the constituency.
