Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) has decided to celebrate AICC president Sonia Gandhi’s birthday on Tuesday as Telangana Declaration Day.
TPCC chief Ponnala Lakshmaiah discussed with party office bearers the arrangements to celebrate Ms. Gandhi’s birthday. He said the party chief had announced that Telangana could be created on December 9, 2009 it was decided to celebrate it as Telangana Declaration Day.
The party has lined up a series of programmes on Tuesday with the students wing NSUI workers organising blood donation camp, the Farmers wing, SC and ST cell would hold a workshop on farmers’ problems. The party leaders would hoist tri-colour at Gandhi Bhavan and conduct competitions for school and college students. The Intellectual cell of TPCC would organise a round table on development of Telangana.
