Sharmila’s ‘parmarsha yatra’ from today

December 07, 2014 11:38 pm | Updated November 16, 2021 09:52 pm IST - HYDERABAD:

YSR Congress leader Y.S. Sharmila will undertake a five-day ‘parmarsha yatra’ from Monday to console the families of those who ended their lives, unable to bear the sudden death of Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy in September 2009 in Mahabubnagar district.

It will be an extension of the unfinished ‘odarpu yatra’ left incomplete by party president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy due to various reasons. In the first phase of the ‘parmarsha yatra’, Ms. Sharmila will meet 19 families from December 8 to 12.

Before taking off on the tour, Ms. Sharmila along with Mr. Jaganmohan Reddy will pay tributes to the late YSR at the latter’s Lotus Pond residence here. According to party functionaries, Ms. Sharmila will console three families at Irven, Devuni Padkal and Veljala and reach Kalwakurthy by evening to unveil a statue of YSR. On December 9, she will reach Amrabad to console a family and unveil YSR’s statue.

On December 12, she will conclude the first phase of the yatra.
