Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao has been taking every effort to benefit the farming community in the State, said Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao.

Addressing a group of farmers after giving sada bainami (land regularisation) papers to 570 persons at Jagadevpur and Markuk mandals in Erravalli on Sunday, Mr. Harish Rao said the district was leading when it came to regularising the sada bainami papers and handing over the documents to the right beneficiaries. Farmers do not have to spend money for the same.

“From now on, you are the owners of your land. We are handing over pass books, title deeds, registration papers, pahanis, and mutation proceedings,” the Irrigation Minister said.

The government has been supplying quality power, seeds, and fertilisers which would improve the lives of farmers. Referring to government order 59, he said the land of 108 persons has been regularised under the same.

Kalyana Lakshmi

“We are the only government in the country which offers ₹51,000 to poor families to perform the marriage of their daughters under the Kalyana Lakshmi and Shaadi Mubarak scheme,” Mr. Rao said, adding that the amount would be increased to ₹75,116 from April onwards.

The Minister urged officials and public representatives to join hands to develop the district. He also announced ₹10 lakh for the construction of Vaikuntha Dhamam (burial ground) and ₹1.8 lakh for dump yards in villages.
