RTA rejects fitness certificates for 46 school buses

The Road Transport Authority in Adilabad has rejected the fitness certification for 46 school buses as they are more than 15 year old.

As many as 430 school buses of the total of 811 however, have been given fitness certificates after due checking by the Road Transport Authority till date.

The highest number of buses certified for fitness was at Nirmal town with 154 and Mancherial with 143. In Adilabad and Asifabad, only 87 and 46 buses were certified fit to ply, according to RTA officials.

The officials said there is a rush for certification of buses. Certification of the remaining 360 buses would be done as soon as possible, they said.
