Southern Power Distribution Company Limited (SPDCL) CMD G. Raghuma Reddy said that 24-hour power supply to the farm sector will be extended to all districts by the end of August on experimental basis. He said that this part of gearing up for 24-hour power supply for farming sector from coming Rabi season commences in December. This is being extended in Nalgonda and Karimnagar districts from Tuesday onwards.
Mr. Raghuma Reddy, who was here to participate in a meeting, said that during the experiment power supply systems would be checked to gear them up and action plan was prepared at an estimated cost of ₹ 1,300 crore. Asked about the load difference between Kharif and Rabi, he said that the variation would not be more than 10%.
