Round Table India honours veteran scribes

HYDERABAD, TELANGANA, 29-11-2014:

The Round Table India (RTI) honoured journalists at an event here on Saturday. The programme, which was titled ‘ZEUS Titans of Media: Honouring the Titans of Media Industry’, was held in association with Kalamandir and the Press Club of Hyderabad.

Sumeet Bhalotia, chairman of RTI, Area 9, appreciated the journalists for their efforts, while Deepak Menda, national president, RTI, said the media was important for the functioning of democracy. Four former and a current employee of The Hindu were also among those who were honoured. They are: Dasu Kesava Rao, S. Nagesh Kumar, M. Malleshwar Rao, H. Satish and D. Veerabhadra Rao.

The following are the names of the rest of the scribes who were honoured: M.P. Rabindranath, S. Vinay Kumar, Khamballapally Krishna, Shankar, Shaik Subhani, B.K. Ramesh, Dileep Reddy, N. Radhakrishna, Manjari Kadiyala, Ajita Katragadda, Swapna, Ratna Chotrani, Uma Sudhir, Pasham Yadagiri, Mohd. Ghalib, Fazil Hussain Parvez, Majid, Khayoom, Varadachary, T. Narayan Pillai, Gudipoodi Srihari and Lakshma Rao.
