March 02, 2015 12:00 am | Updated 05:50 am IST - WARANGAL:

With TRS and BJP competing with each other in undertaking enrolment of voters to the Graduates Constituency Legislative Council elections, the voter number has gone up phenomenally.

The extension of date by the authorities also helped in taking the number up further. With the extension of date for the graduates to register as voters, there has been an increase in the number of voters in the constituency. As on January 16, there were a total of 2, 63, 288 enlisted graduate voters in Warangal, Khammam and Nalgonda districts put together.

According to the final list published on Friday, the total number of voters was 2, 81,138. Of the total voters 205329 were men, 75, 797 were women and 12 voters belong to third gender. In addition to the existing 278 polling stations, it was proposed to add 127 new polling stations for the polling scheduled on March 22.
