‘Ready for debate on farmers suicides’

The BJP deputy floor leader in the Assembly N.V.S.S. Prabhakar said that he was ready for an open debate with the government on the suicides of the farmers in the newly formed State.

“Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has failed to respond in time and meet Union Power Minister Peeyush Goyal despite knowing it in advance that there would be power problem in the State. The meeting took place only after Union Minister made this public,” said Mr. Prabhakar, while participating in a dharna at Collectorate on Tuesday, organised by the party on farmers’ problems.

BJP senior leaders K. Buchi Reddy, Baddam Bal Reddy, M. Raghunandana Rao, K. Satyanarayana and others took part in the agitation
