Actor Rajinikanth has donated Rs. 5 lakh to the Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister’s Relief Fund to help in relief and restoration works, post cyclone Hudhud that devastated Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and Srikakulam districts of North Coastal Andhra.
At a function held here recently to promote his latest film ‘Lingaa’ , the star had announced that he was unable to participate in ‘Memusaitham’, the fundraiser organised by the Telugu film industry in support of the cyclone victims and that he would help financially. As announced, he sent a cheque for the amount as managing trustee of the name of Sri Raghavendra Public Charitable Trust that he runs in Chennai.
