The Karimnagar town Congress unit led by Karra Rajashekhar staged a dharna in front of the Collectorate here on Wednesday alleging that the Municipal Corporation of Karimnagar and SC Corporation authorities have denied financial assistance to the beneficiaries in the town.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajashekhar said the SC Corporation had sanctioned 400 units to Karimnagar town. The beneficiaries secured consent letters from the banks and submitted them to the MCK authorities who in turn submitted the list to the SC Corporation on March 31. The SC Corporation authorities have so far entered the names of only 125 beneficiaries online thereby denying the benefits to the remaining beneficiaries. He demanded a thorough inquiry and action against the errant officials for denying benefits to the dalits.
