Privilleges to Parliamentary Secretaries

The Government of Telangana has extended protocol and other courtesies including security to the newly appointed Parliamentary Secretaries on par with the Minister of State.

The State Government had already appointed six legislators of the Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) as the Parliamentary Secretaries to assist the ministers in subjects allotted to them. The position is personal to the dignitaries concerned for the duration of the term of their office.

In the orders issued on Tuesday, Chief Secretary Rajiv Sharma directed all the Departments of Secretariat, Heads of Departments, District Collectors, Commissioners/Superintendents of Police and the Resident Commissioner of Telangana in New Delhi to extend proper courtesies, reception, accommodation, transportation, security and other privilleges to the Parliamentary Secretaries during their visit to the Districts and New Delhi on par with Ministers of State for the duration of the term of their office.

Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao had appointed V. Srinivas Goud, Kova Laxmi, Vodithala Satish Kumar, Gadari Kishore Kumar, Dasyam Vinay Bhaskar and Jalagam Venkat Rao and attached them to different ministers (departments).
