Assistant professor of chemistry at KITS D. Prabhakara Chary has been elected president of Jana Vignana Vedika (JVV) district unit here.
The Jana Vignana Vedika, Warangal committee conducted elections under the supervision of state committee observers A. Ramachandraiah, K. Laxma Reddy and T. Srinath.
Mr. Prabhakara Chary was elected unanimously as president, V. Raju as general secretary, and Uma Maheshwar Rao as treasurer for Jana Vignana Vedika, Warangal District Committee.
The Aim of the JVV was to popularize science and eradication of superstitions in the society.
It was also inculcating the scientific temper among the student community and common people especially in rural and slum areas.
