Power generation was disrupted at the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) Limited, Ramagundam plant following tripping of the fourth unit of 500 MW capacity due to a technical snag on Friday.
Official sources said that the fourth unit developed technical problem following the boiler tube leakage forcing the authorities to shut down the unit. The officials have taken up restoration work on a war-footing to generate power in the unit by Saturday. Presently, the NTPC Ramagundam is generating 2100 MWs of power against its installed capacity of 2600 MWs.
