Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee president Ponnala Lakshmaiah will leave for Delhi on Wednesday to attend a review meeting with the Antony committee constituted by the party president Sonia Gandhi to revive the party’s activities.
Mr. Lakshmaiah told reporters here that the meeting would discuss strengthening of party, review the function of the TRS government and action plan to boost the morale of the party cadres.
The TPCC chief questioned the need for the TRS government to hurry up and hold the special session of the Council on Wednesday to elect a new Chairman. The decision is against the spirit of democracy and charged the petition they had filed before the Legislature Secretary was kept pending.
He said the one-month-long administration of TRS Chief Minister failed to give clarity on the poll promises it had made before elections. Similarly, the one-month old NDA government in Centre was hell bent on increasing the prices of essential commodities, train fares and fuel.
