Plea to save Buddhist stupa

Karimnagar Development Forum convenor Tula Rajender has urged the State government to take appropriate measures for protection of ancient and historic Buddhist stupa dating back to 2nd Century BC and one of the 30 walled cities mentioned by Megasthenes located in Dhulikatta of Eligaid mandal in Karimnagar district.

Damages

Mr. Rajender along with local representatives visited the Buddhist stupa site on Thursday and expressed concern over the damages caused to the historic site and monument. He urged the government to develop the historical site as tourist spot.
