The Forum for Better Warangal has requested the Central government to include Warangal city in the first phase of the Smart Cities scheme. They asked Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao to take steps to see that the Warangal city should be developed in the first phase of the Smart Cities scheme as the Centre was planning to develop 100 cities in four phases.
