TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy has said that they had also written a letter to Speaker of the Assembly seeking permission for a power point presentation on irrigation projects in Telangana, but they are yet to get a reply from him.
“When the ruling party was giving the power point presentation, what is the logic in denying opportunity to the main Opposition party? he questioned.
He further said the ruling party had violated the code of conduct of the House by giving power point presentation in the Assembly.
Speaking to the media here on Friday, the TPCC president termed the Chief Minister, K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s power point presentation on irrigation projects as unrealistic. “Most of the projects would not be viable technically, he said. He also objected to the government in taking up discussions in the House after making budget allocations for irrigation projects. “What is the point in discussing an issue when a decision has already been taken? he said.
Criticising the Chief Minister for holding them responsible for all the decisions taken up during the united Andhra Pradesh rule, Mr. Reddy said Mr. Rao was a Minister in the TDP government and held several key positions and he was also the Union Minister in Congress government while five of his party MLAs were ministers in Congress Cabinet.
Blaming the previous government for everything is a TRS ploy to keep the Telangana people in the dark over the failures of its government, TPCC president said. Raising objection to redesigning of various irrigation projects in Telangana, Mr. Reddy said the Chief Minister himself visited New Delhi seeking permission for national project status for the previous design.
Nalgonda MP Gutha Sukendar Reddy, Kodad MLA N. Padmavathi and district president Pasham Ram Reddy were present.
