Nine arrested, Rs. 22.6 lakh worth gold, silver, cash seized

The police made a breakthrough in two cases and seized Rs. 1.2 crore worth gold, silver and cash and lorries

According to Superintendent of Police B. Sumathi, Raju Goud alias Lagula Jagadish Goud resident of Kalivemula village in Sangareddy mandal, was a habitual property offender.

He befriended Shanker, a resident of Budhera of Muniapally mandal and together they committed burglaries.

Raju Goud was arrested on Thursday during a vehicle checking. Both the accused were found to have committed 20 crimes including robbing Rs. 6 lakh from a house at Sadashivapet.

The case was investigated by M. Tirupatanna, DSP, Srinivas Naidu, Circle Inspector (CCS), S. Venkatesh, CI, Sangareddy and Anjaneylu, CI, Town among others.

In another case, the police of Ramachandrapuram have arrested seven persons involved in the theft of lorries. Their modus operandi was to steal lorries, remove spare parts and then sell them to customers and use the chassis for old vehicles. Police seized three such lorries made of different spare parts and cash from the offenders.

The arrested were identified as Paramjit Singh, Trilochan Singh, Munider Singh, Raju Rathod, Mahabub Gulab Shiak, Sameeulla Khan and Prapurl Raul Chandan Shive. Another two persons – Kulvanth Singh and Dinesh are at large.

The offences were committed at Patancheru, Autonagar and Nanded, the police said.
