Tarun Joshi, a 2004 batch IPS officer, assumed charge as Adilabad Superintendent of Police on Monday. He replaces Gajarao Bhupal, who served as SP of the district for over one year.

Mr. Joshi had earlier served as SP of Nizamabad. He was also Adilabad Assistant SP for nine months in 2008-2009.

Listing out his priorities at a press conference, Mr. Joshi said maintenance of communal harmony and prevention of property offences would top his agenda. “Free access to general public will also be one of my top priorities,” he added.
