Irrigation Minister T. Harish Rao and Deputy Speaker M. Padma Devender Reddy inaugurated the Facebook page of Medak police at the district headquarters on Sunday evening. The move is aimed at greater interaction between police and public.
Addressing a gathering after unveiling the Facebook page, Mr. Harish Rao said there was a need to reorganise the jurisdiction of the police stations as it was becoming difficult for officers to deal with incidents happening in different constituency limits.
While appreciating SP B. Sumathi for initiating technology-driven policing, we also stress the need for improving friendly-policing,” he said, directing her to submit proposals for required changes in the jurisdiction of police stations.
