Naidu declares his assets again

‘Political, economic reforms needed to cleanse the system’. The total assets of Ms. Bhuvaneswari were put at Rs. 46.88 crore, while the liabilities were Rs. 16.28 crore. The net assets were Rs. 30.59 crore.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Friday declared his assets and liabilities and those of his family members and suggested introduction of political and economic reforms to cleanse the system.

Addressing a press conference here, Mr. Naidu put his total assets at Rs.70.69 lakh, which included a residential house of 1,125 sq.yards at Jubilee Hills (Rs.23.20 lakh), Ambassador car (Rs.1.52 lakh), NSC certificates 0.01lakh and balances in savings bank account and cash ( Rs. 45.96 lakh). The values were of acquisition cost and market values were not indicated as they vary from time to time.

Mr. Naidu had started the practice of declaring his assets in 2011 itself, when he was Leader of the Opposition.

The assets of his wife Bhuvaneswari include a building on a land of 650 sq.yards at Punjagutta ( under pledge to Andhra Bank) valued at Rs.73.33 lakh, semi-permanent warehouse ( Rs. 1.86 cr.) on Parivakam Road, Chennerukuppam village, Sriperumbudur Taluk, MGR District, Tamil Nadu on an extent of 2.33 acres with built-up area of 50,000 sq.ft (under pledge to Kotak Mahindra).

Her investments in listed companies include 53,80,826 shares in Heritage Foods (India ) Limited and Vijaya Bank ( 100 shares) valued at Rs.19. 95 cr. and 0.02 lakh respectively. The investment in unlisted companies was over Rs. 3.65 cr.. The other assets include gold jewellery with precious stones (3,380 gms), silver 32.7 kg and an Audi car.

The total assets of Ms. Bhuvaneswari were put at Rs. 46.88 crore, while the liabilities were Rs. 16.28 crore. The net assets were Rs. 30.59 crore.

The total assets of his son, Lokesh, were mentioned as Rs. 11.04 crore and liabilities at Rs. 7.47 crore.

They included residential property at Jubilee Hills and agricultural lands in Ranga Reddy district, Raigad district (Maharashtra) and Yamara village ( Anekal Taluk, Bangalore district). The total assets of Lokesh’s wife, Brahmani, were put at Rs.5.32 crore and total liabilities at Rs.1.36 crore.

Mr. Naidu also gave assets and liabilities of M/s Nirvana Holdings Private Limited, a family-owned entity, having assets of Rs. 26.15 crore and liabilities of Rs. 25.24 crore.
