Member of Parliament from Adilabad G. Nagesh on Thursday accused Adilabad police and Intelligence Department of failure in providing protection against house break. Belonging to the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi, he was sarcastic when he said his house was burgled thrice so far which demonstrates the efficiency of police in Adilabad.

The MP addressed a press conference with regard to the burglary in his house on Wednesday. Valuables and cash estimated at ₹16 lakh were stolen.

Mr. Nagesh also accused the police of negligence in investigating the crime. Not only did the clues team arrive late at the scene of offence, Adilabad Superintendent of Police M. Sreenivas did not even talk to me on phone until 10 a.m. on Thursday, he lamented.

“Why is the Government spending huge amounts for providing you vehicles and modern equipment,” he questioned the police. “You should have been aware that I was in Delhi for the past four days and maintain vigil in the colony,” he added.

Earlier, Forest Minister Jogu Ramanna and Housing Minister A. Indrakaran Reddy called on the MP. According to sources the police has identified the burglar and launched a manhunt for him.
