Manthani legislator Putta Madhukar is undertaking his padayatra in the naxalite-affected villages of Mahadevpur mandal in Karimnagar district, bordering Chhattisgarh, as part of his ‘Mana vooru- Mana MLA’ programme.
Mr. Madhukar launched the programme amidst unprecedented security at Sarvaipet village of Mahadevpur mandal on Thursday. He made night halt at Peddampet. On Friday, he undertook padayatra in Kistaraopet, Enukapalli, Rapallikota and Elkeshwar villages. Mr. Madhukar told The Hindu that the padayatra would continue till February 3.
