Putting his skills to create awareness about atrocities on women in India, Indian-American pop singer Reggie Benjamin here on Wednesday released his song ‘Save Her’, as part of launching his non-profit organisation Mission Save Her (MSH) in the city.

“I was watching the news last year about India, and I saw reports that two young women were raped and hung. I thought to myself ‘what can I do’, and decided to write a song about it,” said Reggie Benjamin after screening the song here at the Prasad Film Labs. He further stated that the song ‘Save Her’, which also features 40 Hollywood celebrities, will be launched worldwide in July.

Explaining about the song, which took Reggie a year to finish, he said that ‘Save Her’ also features Bollywood actors Gulshan Grover, Manisha Koirala and Mahima Chaudhary. The pop singer, who wrote and produced the song, reached out to his friends in Hollywood to support him, including Grammy nominated musician Eric Benet.

When asked if he will be working on any projects in Hindi or Telugu movies in the future, he replied in the negative. “But I would love to work in Tollywood,” he quipped.
